Jeff was born in Lexington, Kentucky and being the son an Army officer, spent the first twelve years of his life living in various places in and outside of the US. It was at the age of twelve that he began to cultivate the love for music his father had given him when he picked up the trumpet for the first time. Playing trumpet from junior high through high school, Jeff was awarded a scholarship to Florida State University where he studied trumpet under Bryan Goff and majored in music education. After graduating from FSU, Jeff worked as a middle school band director for ten years where his bands consistently received superior performance ratings. Jeff was also active in the local music scene playing for various ensembles and given the opportunity to perform with vocalists Vic Damone and Diahann Carroll and Christian recording artist, Phil Driscoll.
Jeff is currently an associate pastor and music minister at the Rock of Panama City. He directs the adult and children choirs along with the orchestra. He is an anointed songwriter and arranger and has recently completed a choir project entitled, Premier. His hobbies include endurance races ranging from 5Ks to triathlons and he has completed two half ironman triathlons. Jeff is married to Linda, his wife of 26 years and they have two children, Amy and Andrew. All three are accomplished musicians and are testimonies to God’s generational gifting and anointing.
