Bob Maksymkow

Bob Maksymkow received a Diploma in Performance in clarinet from the Juilliard School, a B.A. in saxophone performance and an M.A. in jazz pedagogue from the University of West Florida. His principal clarinet teachers were Naomi Lewis Drucker, Augustin Duques (principal clarinet, Toscanini’s NBC Symphony) and Leon Russianoff. He also studied saxophone, clarinet and flute with the renowned Joe Allard at Juilliard. Bob completed a career as a performer, bandleader and clinician in the U.S. Air Force, performing throughout the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and Europe. He maintains a private woodwind and jazz improvisation studio in Pensacola and actively freelances on saxophone, clarinet and flute throughout the Gulf Coast. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Lou Rawls, Mel Torme, the Temptations, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Les Elgart Orchestra, the Les Brown Orchestra and countless other headliners.
